Five Lanes Primary School has won praise from Ofsted inspectors and continues to be a ‘good’ school, following a recent inspection.
The Wortley school received praise for the ‘strong’ teaching at the school, pupils’ attitude to learning and pupils’ writing skills.
There was also praise for safeguarding and pupils’ behaviour in school. Ofsted inspector Joan Hewitt concluded:
“The leadership team has maintained the good quality of education in the school since the last inspection.”
Moving forward, the school is being asked to ensure the most able pupils are consistently challenged appropriately and that pupils’ spelling improves.
