Farsley youngsters mark Captain Tom’s 100th birthday with special message

Youngsters in Farsley have thanked war veteran Captain Tom Moore – who walked around his garden to raise millions for the NHS – by making a special banner.

Captain Moore has raised more than £27 million for the NHS so far by walking around his garden 100 times using a walking frame, turns 100 years old on Thursday 30 April.

All Stars Childcare in Farsley has stayed open to care for the children of key workers during this difficult time and the staff and children have done a lovely message and banner for Captain Tom.

A spokesperson said:

““The children are mostly those of frontline NHS staff so they wanted to say thank you for Captain Tom’s incredible fundraising to support their mummies and daddies!”

The children are all aged under three.
