Running group Farsley Fliers has received a £500 donation to support its programme – including the popular Endure24, an overnight trail run.
Farsley Flyers is a volunteer-led running club that is available to runners of all ability and aims to get more and more people getting fit and healthy through running.
It is free to join the club, which runs every Thursday at 6.30pm and regularly participates in runs such as 10ks and half marathons, as well as hosting trail races open to all runners across Yorkshire and beyond.
The donation, from Harron Homes, will support materials to encourage more runners to join the club and get fit. Harron Homes have also provided a number of kit bags and water bottles for the club’s upcoming fundraising events.
The group leader for Farsley Flyers, Alison Ogle, said:
“We would like to thank Harron Homes for this donation, it is much appreciated. As we’re all volunteers, every bit of help allows us to support existing members and attract more runners to our club.”
Katie Charlesworth, Sales and Marketing Director at Harron Homes Yorkshire, commented:
“At Harron Homes, we recognise the work that social groups do for their local communities and love to give back to those that work tirelessly to create fun events for the public.
“The Farsley Flyers do great work in making running and staying fit accessible to all and as part of our donation, we are supplying kit bags and water bottles to make sure they have what they need to expand their club and host more events in the future.”
