Would you like your Christmas tree picking up and recycling – all all for a good cause? Now’s your last chance!
Volunteers will take away real Christmas trees for a small fee, with all proceeds going towards the running of Farsley Festival 2019.
The volunteers are this year increasing their collections and will pick up from addresses in Farsley, Rodley, Stanningley, Calverley and Pudsey. Due to the size of the team they cannot collect trees from outside these areas.
People have until 10pm tomorrow (Thursday, January 3 2019) to register for the service here. Collections, which cost £6.88, will be on Saturday, January 5.
The Farsley Festival team are also teaming up with Farsley Community Orchard, who will chip every tree for mulch for use in the orchard. A spokesperson said:
“This is a big fundraiser for Farsley Festival, which we love and want to keep going year on year so do support us whilst ensuring your car stays needle free!”
The next Farsley Festival will be on Saturday, 22 June.
