Farsley Celtic will look to bounce back from Saturday’s 4-0 thumping at the hands of National League side Southport FC as they return to league action against West Yorkshire rivals Ossett Albion tonight, writes Thomas Ritchie.
Farsley have shown indifferent form of late losing two out of their last three games, falling to Trafford 1-0 alongside Saturday’s FA Trophy defeat.
However sandwiched inbetween was a 3-1 success over Glasshougton Welfare in the West Riding County Cup. Due to their cup exploits The Celts have dropped to ninth in the league, however a win tomorrow will see them rise up to fifth as this is the only game in the division.
Jordan Deacey returns to the squad after missing Saturday’s game with illness, whilst Ryan Serrant and Alex Davidson remain sidelined with injuries.
Ossett Albion have shown some significant improvements recently despite sitting 19th in the league.
In what has been a fine start to December Ossett have defeated Colne FC 2-1, and then put in a sensational performance in their most recent outing as they defeated promotion hopefulls Glossop North End 2-1.
However they also slumped to a disappointing 2-1 defeat at the hands of fellow relegation candidates Goole AFC, so don’t be surprised if tomorrow’s game ends 2-1!
The Unicorns will be seeking revenge as they succumbed to defeat to The Celts last month, falling to a 4-2 defeat in the Integro League Cup despite leading 1-0 at the break. They have no apparent injury concerns.
