Farnley: Public meeting will discuss splitting 42 bus service

Residents are invited to share their views on a potential splitting up of the 42 bus service.

Farnley and Wortley councillor Matt Gibson and Leeds West MP Rachel Reeves will be present at a public consultation event with First Bus into potential changes to the route.

The meeting will take place at Old Farnley Community Centre (Hillside Hall) on Cross Lane at 6.30pm on Thursday, November 8.

The consultation was pledged by First during a public meeting in June where passengers were given the opportunity to share their concerns and frustrations with the operator.

The November meeting will also give bus users the chance to help shape potential new services.

A timetable change is being introduced this to try and reflect the congestion delays on the route.
