Drive-in movie blockbusters come to big screen at Kirkstall Forge

A blockbuster outdoor cinema experience from the comfort and safety of your own car is coming to Kirkstall Forge for the first time this May.

There will be nine screenings across three days, including family favourites Back To The Future, Paddington and Jurassic Park. Also showing will be Dirty Dancing, Grease, Hairspray, Mamma Mia, The Greatest Showman and Bohemian Rhapsody

Mike Hanson, of event organisers What A Movie, said:

“Everyone needs something to look forward to at the moment, so we are delighted to be screening a further choice of blockbuster and family movies as we come out of lockdown at Kirkstall Forge.

“As before, the screenings will take place in accordance with government guidelines on social distancing to ensure the safety of guests.  Everything will be contactless, including food ordering and delivery, and cars will be parked a safe distance apart.”

James Millson, from Kirkstall Forge developers CEG, said:

Gourmet Wood Fired Pizzas will be available to order on site, along with a selection of high quality Barista Coffees, hot drinks, cold drinks and snacks, all delivered to your car.

Screenings will take place at Kirkstall Forge on Friday 14, Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 May 2021.  Please be assured that all events will strictly adhere to government guidelines on social distancing, with contactless ticket scanning on entry, marshalled parking allowing for at least two metre distances between cars.
