Discover the grand houses, lost fortunes and many changes affecting Farsley over the years at a special event this weekend.
Friends of St John’s (Farsley) is presenting ‘A Local History Day about Farsley Village and Its People’ on Saturday, 2nd September 2017.
One of the organisers, Linda Allen, says attendees will learn about the heroes and the villains and ‘go back in time to see what Farsley was really like’. There will also be a large display of photographs encompassing the last century.
The event runs from 9.30am to 4.30pm in St John’s Church Hall.
Admission free. Refreshments of hot drinks and biscuits will be available.
The event is being organised by the Friends of St John’s, a group of local people who fundraise for the upkeep of St John’s Church.
