A disabled motor racing team has visited Kirkstall to celebrate the opening of a new one-stop shop for disabled or elderly people.
TeamBRIT is a competitive disabled motor racing team consisting of drivers who are all ex or serving military and who have sustained serious injuries.
They aim to make racing history by taking part in the world famous Le Mans 24hr endurance race, becoming the first ever disabled team to do so.
They visited The Unlimited Company’s new concept store at Kirkstall Bridge Shopping Park, which offers a range of mobility and assisted living products and a free occupational therapy service.
The TeamBRIT drivers – Andrew Searle (former Rifleman in the South Yorkshire Rifles Regiment, aged 24) and Tony Williams (former Corporal in the Queen Alexandra Royal Army Nursing Corps, aged 32) were at in Kirkstall for the launch.
