A debt and budgeting advice service is set to hold weekly advice sessions at Farsley Community Hub and Library.
Free impartial independent debt advice, budgeting support, letter writing, energy bill saving, income maximisation services are among the free services on offer by financial support group Money Buddies.
The service’s Farsley weekly sessions will run from Wednesday, 2 February, between 1pm and 4pm and are funded by Leeds City Council’s Outer West Community Committee.
Councillor Andrew Carter (Calverley & Farsley Ward), welcomed the new sessions. He said:
“I am delighted, particularly at this difficult time, what with the recent cost of living increases, that this financial support group, who already operate in Pudsey, are coming to Farsley. When this group contacted me, I urged them to apply for the necessary funding from the Outer West Community Committee to fund this service for local people.
”Money Buddies have been operating in Leeds for some years. They are a well-established, award-winning organisation whose aim is to help residents with financial and debt advice. In these very difficult financial times when many families are struggling with increasing energy bills and the cost of living in general, such advice will, I am sure, be very welcome.”
