Councillors will next week be asked to fund measures to help make Bramley Fall Park more secure.
Members of the Outer West Community Committee are being asked to provide £2,622 to install 20 sandstone boulders at Bramley Fall Park to secure the park against trespassers.
The Outer West Community Committee will meet next Monday, 24 November, from 2pm at the Claremont Grove Complex, Pudsey.
Councillors are also being asked to fund £2,900 to improve the footpath from the subway on Longfield Road eastwards to the steps onto Crimbles Road in Pudsey.
Other funding applications include:
- £1,000 to Basecamp Adventure Trust Main Programme for a year-long programme to support young people aged 12-14, with confidence, identity, and emotional wellbeing.
- £1,000 to Pudsey Seniors’ Lunch Club, which is run by Pudsey Community Project. Funding would pay for ingredients and equipment replacement for an anti-isolation lunch club for those 65+ in the Pudsey area. This includes two Christmas meals catering for 70.
- £879 to supply, deliver install and remove Bramley’s Christmas tree.
- Pudsey Youth and Children’s Activities – run by Pudsey Community Project – has applied for £1,500 to replace equipment and purchase a replacement games console. The bid includes food for the sessions and ingredients and equipment for teen cookery skills courses.
- West Leeds Activity Centre has asked for £3,600 to provide activities for young people.

The Outer West Community Committee is made up of 12 councillors from four wards: Bramley & Stanningley, Calverley & Farsley, Farnley & Wortley and Pudsey. It features seven Labour, three Conservative, one Green and one Reform councillor, along with community representatives.
