A record 160 shoeboxes have been collected for the Calverley Rotary Club annual shoebox appeal.
A service held at Farsley Community Church yesterday saw the boxes collected thanks to support from the community.
They will be going to going to Ukraine, Moldova, Romania, and Poland and contain toys, games, sportswear, games, household goods and lots more for people of all ages.
Organisers thanked Farsley Scouts, Farsley Boys’ Brigade, The Bee Hub in Farsley, Farsley Celtic Junior Football Club, members of the congregation and Rotary Club members for their donations.
