Community initiatives set for funding decisions at Inner West Community Committee

Come and see democracy in action – and local councillors making decisions which could affect you – when the Inner West Community Committee meets tomorrow evening (Wednesday).

Councillors from Armley, Bramley and Stanningley, and Kirkstall Wards will be in attendance at the meeting, which starts at 7,.30pm at Stanningley Amateur Rugby Football Club, on Coal Hill Drive, Leeds 13.

Councillors will be deciding how to spend the committee’s wellbeing fund amongst other business. Applications for funding which will be considered include CCTV and a new footpath on Ley Lane in Armley, security fencing at Burley RUFC and a contribution towards the running costs at Bramley’s Community Shop.

At 6.30pm there will be a pre-meeting workshop where councillors will take a closer look at our housing stock in the area, what works well and where improvements need to be made.

The meeting is open to the public and the agenda can be read here.
