Have you got a great idea to bring people together in Armley or New Wortley but need some money to do it? Can you make it happen in six months?
A new scheme is offering people a chance to get their idea off the ground with access to funding and a voting event to decide which ideas receive the money.
U Choose is being run by (MAP+) Migrant Access Project Plus in Armley and New Wortley, as well as Beeston Hill, Holbeck, Hyde Park, Woodhouse and Little London.
Individuals can apply for up to £100 and groups can apply for up to £500.
Perhaps you’ve always wanted to start a walking group, or you’d like to create a community garden or hold a fun day? U Choose gives people the opportunity to give it a try using a simple application process.
People are invited to come to a community event at New Wortley Community Centre, 4.30-7.30pm on 1st December to vote for their favourite ideas and have their say about which ones receive funding.
