Calverley & Farsley local election result 2021: Carter holds for Tories

Amanda Carter held her Calverley and Farsley Ward seat for the Conservative Party at this year’s Leeds City Council elections.

The count was held today in the First Direct Arena in Leeds following voting on Thursday. The delayed count was due to social distancing measures.

Cllr Carter received 4,424 votes, with Labour challenger Naheem Alam on 2,808 votes.

The result leaves the ward with the same political makeup of two Conservative councillors and one Labour.

Here are the results:

Naheem Akhtar Alam – Labour Party 2,808
Amanda Lesley Carter – Conservative Party 4,424
Ian George Dowling – Liberal Democrats 312
Ellen Jean Graham – Green Party 664
