Need something to occupy you whilst you wrap presents, write cards, cook food?
Local group Creative Calverley is running a Christmas card competition.
The idea is simple: design, draw, paint a picture and you could win the opportunity to feature on a future Calverley Christmas Card.

The competition is open to people of all ages. All entries, however, must be the work of the entrant.
Creative Calverley will choose a winning design and will arrange for the printing of the cards.
Cards will later be sold to raise funds for local charties.

Calverley Christmas Tree Festival
They really know how to celebrate Christmas in the vilage!
Calverley Christmas Tree Festival runs 11 until 13 December at St Wilfrid’s Church.
A festival of trees each decorated by an individual, school, family, local group or business to illustrate a theme of their choice.
The Festival’s aims are:
- to welcome visitors to St Wilfrid’s Church;
- delight people with the beauty and variety of the trees on display;
- to raise money for charities and church work.
