Buffaloes bulletin: Bramley warm-up for final with another 60-point haul

By Paul Abraham

The brilliant Buffaloes prepared for this week’s cup final by demolishing Wyke for the second time this season.

The Buffs ran in 1 tries with the backs sharing seven tries between them. Tries came from Omar Al Rawl (2), Zane Ballantyne (2), Sam Marshall, Bryn Perrott, Keiran McFarlane, Jacob Oldroyd, Jack Boot, Bailey Harmen and Lewis Gaunt who also added seven goals in the 62-6 away victory.

Buffaloes all set for second successive final

The Buffaloes head to the Batley Bulldogs Mount Pleasant ground to face Illingworth in the final of the Yorkshire Mens League Shield.

After going so close and losing in controversial circumstances in last seasons final, the Buffaloes are going into the final in supreme confidence.

The coaching staff has been fine-tuning the squad in this weeks training sessions and will have a few surprises in store for their second division opponents.

The Buffaloes are top of division three while Illingworth are placed fourth in division two with five victories and a draw from their seven matches and with games in hand of the leaders they will definitely be title challengers at the business end of the season.

They have won their last five league matches including a 36-10 away victory against Emley Moor Cougars in their last league match.

Transport available for Saturday’s Final

There are some seats still available on the coach travelling to Batley. If you want to support the Buffaloes in the final then please be at the West Leeds Rugby Union ground at 12.45pm. The cost is £10 per seat.
