A former bingo hall in Armley could be transformed into a convenience store and cafe, if planning permission is granted.
Plans have been submitted for the new ‘supermarket’ in Branch Road – a matter of weeks after the applicant was granted an off licence to sell alcohol from the premises, despite some local concerns.
The plans include a new mezzanine level to accommodate a cafe.
The new store would open 7am to 11pm and applicant Ranj Rashid Raja states the ground floor would accommodate a butchers, bakers and general ethnic and English foods.
The plans can be viewed in full here and will be considered by Leeds City Council early in the New Year.
Meanwhile, a retrospective application for change of use of retail unit to form car wash has been submitted for Unit 1, Ledgard Way, Armley.
