While resolutions are traditionally made for New Year, those wanting an exciting challenge for the new academic year could train as novice boxers or MMA fighters and enjoy eight weeks free training for the Ultra White-Collar Boxing (WCB) and Ultra MMA November shows.
Participants must be novices and able to attend two weekly evening training sessions at Bad Company gym in Bramley where training starts week beginning September 21.Â
Thereâs also training in Wetherby for the York UltraWCB. The commitment is to sell a minimum of ten tickets to the shows and raise funds for a charity of the participantâs own choosing.
The WCB show takes place at The Royal Armouries New Dock on Saturday, 21 November. The MMA show is at the same venue or possibly The Village Hotel in Headingley the following Saturday, 28 November.
The July WCB show was attended by 900 people and Aprilâs MMA show saw 500 tickets sold. The Leeds Ultra shows have already raised ÂŁ 860 thousand in charity donations.
Both male and female novice fighters aged 18 and above are welcome. Starting out can often be a bit daunting but everyone is in the same situation sharing the same goals and ambitions. New friends are quickly made. One of whom youâll fight as your opponent on the show!
