Bramley-based Barca-Leeds has won the Yorkshire Medical Chambers (YMC) Annual Charity Award. YMC is a federation of doctors and health care professionals who provide essential support for medical practices across the region.

This award is a reflection of the quality and diverse work Barca-Leeds undertakes, especially in relation to improving health outcomes.

Barca-Leeds is also a partner within the Forward Leeds service which provides comprehensive treatment services for Drug and Alcohol issues.

Mark Law, MBE and Chief Executive Officer, Barca-Leeds said:

“We are delighted to be the recipient of this award and would like to thank Yorkshire Medical Chambers for this expression of confidence in our services. Yorkshire Medical Chambers is a GP lead service and we are particularly honoured to be chosen as their charity of the year.”

Dr Sue Elton, GP, is member of the Yorkshire Medical Chambers and a former trustee of Barca-Leeds. She said:

“The work Barca-Leeds does and has done for decades, makes a difference to the whole community, both now and for future generations. It is a truly holistic approach to community that is an inspiration to us all.”
