Calling all young people aged 14 to 19 years old!
Interplay Youth Theatre in Armley have spaces in their ‘older’ young theatre group and are encouraging young people to get involved.
The Youth Theatre is run by Lizzie Whynes and aims to not only to develop young people’s performance skills and confidence but it is a chance for them to meet other likeminded people in the area.
Lizzie said: “We explore different theatre and performance styles and also hand the power over to the young people to make creative work that represents their lives, their stories and their interests.
“We are a creative and collaborative company that welcomes everyone and celebrates the community of Armley and wider West Leeds.
“A standard session would include a warmup activity, some skill development, and a creative task which is tailored to the term’s theme. This half term we are looking at adaptation. Interplay runs an inclusive youth theatre programme for all abilities.”
FREE sessions every Wednesday during term time, Wednesday 5 June to Wednesday 17 July 2024. Interact is for ages 14 to 19 and runs 7pm to 8pm at Interplay Theatre, Armley Ridge Road (on the 16, X6, 508 and 72 bus routes).
