Armley: Plans for bi-lingual nursery submitted

A private bi-lingual children’s day nursery could open in Armley, if planning approval is given.

Plans have been submitted by Aissatou Clish to transform offices at Armley Court, off Armley Road into the new facility.

Ms Clish is the Leeds-based managing director at La Coccinelle Ltd, which provides education from birth up to 11 years old in both English and French languages.

A notice on the company’s website says the new nursery will be opening in September 2016.

A comment by council highways officers on the application says the nursery should cater for up to 40 children and employ up to 12 members of staff due to parking limitations on the site.

The company’s first nursery opened off York Road two years ago.

The application can be viewed in full, and commented upon.
