Preparatory work has started on building two new stores in Kirkstall.
As reported last July, supermarket giants Morrisons gained planning approval from Leeds City Council for two new retail units with ground floor and mezzanine floorspace.
The stores will be on car parking next to the petrol station at Kirkstall Retail Park, next to the new Matalan store.
The area has been fenced off in preparation for main building work starting on site later this year for completion in 2017. A car wash belonging to Morrisons has also been demolished.
Because what that spot needed was two more shops and traffic. Nobody said. Ever.
