Today saw the long-awaited opening of the brand new B&M store in Owlcotes Shopping Centre.
B&M staff were asked to nominate a local charity they think truly deserves some VIP treatment for the work they do for the local community. They chose Leeds Children’s Hospital Appeal, who took centre stage as they officially unveiled the new B&M store, alongside Leeds Lord Mayor Councillor Jane Dowson.
In addition to opening the new store, the representatives also received £250 worth of B&M vouchers as a thank you for taking part.
The first floor of the former M&S store has undergone an internal and external refurbishment programme and created more than 55 jobs.
Store manager Geoff Skelton said:
“A big thank you to Leeds Children’s Hospital Appeal who helped us open the store this morning, we hope that our donation can help them continue the outstanding work they do for the local community.”
