One in four women will experience domestic violence or abuse in their lifetime. The committee meeting is open to the public, and councillors are particularly keen for residents to attend and help improve services for victims in the future.

The chair of the committee, Cllr Kevin Ritchie (Lab, Bramley), said:

“With 13,000 incidents a year officially recorded across the city, we want to make sure services in Armley, Bramley and Kirkstall are working together to support victims and encourage more to come forward.”

The meeting will be held on Wednesday, 9th September, 6pm.
