Pudsey Park has been nominated for a top national parks awards – but needs your help to be the best in the country.
The park is one of 13 in Yorkshire nominated by punters as one of the UK’s Best Parks and is up against parks in Leeds, Bradford, Harrogate, Sheffield and York.
Pudsey Park is described as:
“An excellent facility well used by the local population. Pudsey Park provides a welcome oasis for everyone from young families to those who love a game of bowls or, in summer months, to listen to the brass bands. There is also a visitor centre with wildlife exhibits.”
National charity Fields in Trust launched this year’s vote. Fields in Trust Chief Executive, Helen Griffiths, said:
“Our awards help recognise the role that our local parks play in our neighbourhoods, bringing people together and creating a safe outdoor environment that should be available to everyone. We want to celebrate all the much-loved green spaces and invite all park users to vote for their favourite.”
Voting closes at 5pm on Friday 3rd November and the winner of UK’s Best Park 2017 will be announced at the Fields in Trust Awards at Lord’s Cricket Ground on Wednesday 29th November.
