The Sri Guru Nanak Sikh Temple on Tong Road, Armley, is the latest recipient of a free new boiler.
The Temple is benefitting from one of 15 new boilers Worcester Bosch is giving away as part of a scheme to celebrate 15 years of the company receiving the Which? Best Buy endorsement.
The scheme encourages local installers to nominate a non-profit facility in their community and/or a knowingly deserving individual to receive the prize.
The Temple was nominated because it provides a centre for local community activity, as well as a place for prayer. It also has a lot of elderly people from the local community that attend, who would benefit from the enhanced warmth the Greenstar 8000+ boiler can provide.

Carl Arntzen, CEO at Worcester Bosch, said: “We are delighted to provide the Sri Guru Nanak Sikh Temple with a brand new boiler and support their work in the local community and they are a great example of the deserving community groups and individuals we’re aiming to help with the Which? 15 years scheme.
“With the ongoing rise of energy bills, it is a tough time for many so we’re happy to give back and work with our installers within their communities.”
Accredited installers in the area, Thethi Builders, volunteered their time to do the installation for free.
Majinder Singh Thethi, Owner of Thethi Builders, said: “It was an honour to nominate and work on the installation of the new boiler for an amazing establishment that plays such a vital part in our community.
“The previous heating system in place was unreliable and not fit for purpose, so this will be a game changer for the winter months, keeping everyone warm and comfortable.
“I’ve been coming here with my dad and grandad since it was first built, so giving back and working closely with Surinder Singh Thethi, chairman of trustees and the general secretary, Gurpreet Singh Sahni, has been so special for me. I will always try my hardest to work with the community and offer my services where I can.”
Worcester Bosch will continue to give away boilers until April 2025, and is encouraging local installers to nominate a non-profit facility in their community and/or a knowingly deserving individual to receive the prize. More details here.
