Search on for community gardeners to take part in Leeds survey

Community gardeners in West Leeds are being encouraged to take part in a survey to discover what’s going on in Leeds’s community food growing scene

Leeds food partnership FoodWise and Fruit Works Co-operative want to gain a better sense of and what people growing food with others in a community space need to thrive.

A Fruitworks spokesperson said: “Over our side of the city we’ve got some fantastic community gardens, and FoodWise want to uncover whose growing, what, where, and what support is needed.

“For example the Gotts Park Rose Garden, Kirkstall St Stephen’s Well, Hollybush Conservation Centre and the country’s largest cherry orchard circle, at the Bellmounts in Bramley.”

If you are involved in growing food in a public place, no matter how small scale, fill out this survey. One group will win a £50 voucher garden centre voucher. The deadline for submission is Sunday, 18 January 2026.
