Scary scarecrows needed for Hallowe’en horrors in Bramley

Calling all scarecrow builders in Bramley!

The annual Bramley Scarecrow Festival is looking for new entrants – and has also launched an appeal for prizes.

First created during a miserable lockdown during 2020 with Coronavirus doing the rounds. The fantastic Martine Pearson launched Bramley Scarecrow Festival to help bring some fun, laughter and smiles back to the faces of Bramley people.

This year’s event will run 29-31 October 2022 and will raise finds for Bramley Elderly Action. Entry to the competition costs £2, more details from bramleyscarecrowfestival@hotmail.com.

One of the organisers, Mark Barrow, told WLD: “We’re trying to get the community to come together and make something for people to go round and look at.”
