A new development of 67 new houses on the former Airedale Mills site in Rodley appears to be edging closer to reality.
The initial proposals had met with widespread local opposition amid concerns over access and the impact on Rodley Nature Reserve.
WLD understands some of the planning conditions attached to the development have been discharged by Leeds City Council, while others are still awaiting final sign off.
The latest images of the site by photographer Kelvin Wakefield show some of the ground works appear to have started, before full building work commences.
Kelvin also captured some photos from the site back in 2005, after the mill was closed but before it was demolished. Here’s a slideshow of images at the time:
