Kirkstall Abbey will convert into a kitsch costume experience for a celebration of outlandish entertainment, explosive cabaret acts and a screening of cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Run by Sneaky Experience, the screening and after party will run against the backdrop of the gothic ruins from May 19 to 20.
The full programme is being released over the next week, with a series of Yorkshire locations and sites providing the backdrop to favourite movies, theatre and events this summer.
Rocky Horror Picture Show is the first of the season, billed with outrageous fun, you can marvel at the highly talented live performances from the Leeds and Manchester Queens, strut your stuff down the drag-walk, or perfect your pelvic thrusts in warped dance lessons in preparation for the live DJ set from Simon G (SpeedQueen) at the Glam-rock After Party in the ruin’s cloisters.
A fully licensed bar will be operating throughout serving cocktails, and there will be street-food stalls and onsite make-up station plus a photo booth to capture all your glamorous excess.
