Pupils’ letters lead to new reading shed at Pudsey school

Pudsey Primrose Hill Primary School pupils were tasked with writing to local businesses to ask for a donation of a shed in order to create a dedicated reading shed in school.

Following the children’s letters as part of a writing project, Pudsey building supplier FARMAC were very happy with year 3’s writing and were happy to help.

Not only did FARMAC supply the school with a shed to use, they also came and installed the shed, along with First 4 Fencing, into the Key Stage 2 playground.

Pudsey Primrose Hill Primary School headtecher, Kathryn Dickson, said: “We are so proud of our Year 3 children and the writing they produced and cannot wait to get this space up and running! Thank you so much to FARMAC for their generous donation and their time. The shed looks amazing and fits perfectly into the KS2 playground quiet area.”

Pudsey Primrose Hill held a grand opening ceremony once all the shelves had been fitted and books installed.

Owlcotes Multi-Academy Trust CEO Lesley West performed the ribbon cutting!
