Pudsey Pumpkin Festival returns for 2021

Hallowe’en is just around the corner – and entries are being encouraged for this year’s Pudsey Pumpkin Festival.

The event started was last year at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic by Pudsey councillor Dawn Seary and was aimed at encouraging people to create a trail of pumpkins and decorated houses around the town for people to follow in a socially distanced manner.

Adding your pumpkin to the trail for the 2021 Hallowe’en event is a simple thing to do, simply visit the website and add your name address and postcode. Organisers then place a pumpkin on the Pudsey map showing your street has a decorated pumpkin or house to find.

The idea is you can walk as far or as little as you like to find decorated houses on October 31.

To get your pumpkin added to the map, visit the website below and fill in the form:

Following on from previous years, organisers are again holding a competition for the best Hallowe’en Shop Window Display in Pudsey. The Pudsey In Bloom team will be judging the displays post your photos to Pudsey Pumpkin Festival Facebook page. Judging will take place the last week of October.
