Plans to convert a former retail showroom into a children’s play centre in Pudsey town centre have been approved.
Councillors on the council’s south and west plans panel approved applicant Jayne Hutton’s proposal to turn the former Factory Outlet showroom into a play centre.
The building is on Crawshaw Hill, opposite Pudsey Leisure Centre.
No objections from the general public were received, but Cllr Josie Jarosz (Lab, Pudsey) raised concerns over parking and highways safety in the area.
The proposals were approved by the panel, subject to yellow lines being in place at the front of the building.
The Dispatch featured the proposals earlier this week, with Ms Hutton’s proposals receiving a groundswell of support on the Pudsey Born and Bred Facebook group.
