Pudsey: Musgrave Court sold to unnamed developer

Council land which used to house a residential home for older people in Pudsey has been sold off to an unnamed developer.

The former Musgrave Court Care Home, off Crawshaw Road, was closed and declared surplus to council requirements three years ago. The home was demolished and the site cleared earlier this summer.

A council report, which can be read in full here, says a number of offers were received after the site was put on the open market.

The name of the successful bidder and cost of buying the land have been deemed as confidential by the council as it ‘relates to the financial or business affairs of a particular person, and of the council’.

Pudsey councillors Richard Lewis, Josie Jarosz and Mick Coulson all support the land sale, which comes with no restrictions on future development.
