Pudsey MP Stuart Andrew has been made a vice chairman of the Conservative Party.
Mr Andrew has been announced today as the Vice Chairman of the Conservative Party with special responsibility for cities. He said:
“I am proud to have been chosen as the vice chairman of the party I have supported since I was young.
“With the party placing such an emphasis on developing cities, I am pleased to be leading on this area of work. I have always been passionate about delivering greater power to cities and ensuring that parties understand the reality of what it is like to grow up in cities, which can sometimes see real disparities in certain areas.
“The party has been key in devolving more powers to our cities and initiatives like the Northern Powerhouse and Midlands Engine show how serious we are about helping our cities be world leaders. I look forward to helping to make this vision a reality.”
