Pudsey cyclist completes first month of 3,431-mile charity challenge

By Sonia Koren

A Pudsey cyclist has completed the first month of his 3,431-mile charity ride supporting Medical Aid for Palestinians.

After 29 days, Tim Devereux has covered 302.3 miles – despite facing winter weather challenges, riding daily aside from a one-day interruption by a visit to A&E.

His journey has now brought in over £1,115, including Gift Aid, as donations continue.

Mr Devereux, an eager cyclist and bike collector, has stuck to his plan of riding 10 miles a day around Yorkshire, using five of his eight bicycles to date.

“I’ll need to do some maintenance on the others before they are fit for the road.

“I am pleased that donations are coming from far and wide, not just from people I know. Thank goodness there is a ceasefire now, and let’s hope it lasts.”

Mr Devereux plans to continue riding 10 miles a day around Yorkshire with a target finish date of December 10, 2025. His fundraising page remains active and open to donations.
