Pudsey Christmas Lights’ Santa Sleigh Tour returns for five festive nights

The popular Pudsey Christmas Lights Santa Sleigh Tour is set to return this December, bringing festive cheer to neighbourhoods across Pudsey, Swinnow, Tyersal and surrounding areas.

Running over five evenings from Monday, 15 December to Friday, 19 December 2025, the tour will see Santa and his helpers travel through residential streets between 6pm and 8pm each night, giving families the chance to see the sleigh close to home.

The Santa Sleigh Tour is organised by Cllr Simon Seary and Cllr Dawn Seary (Cons, Pudsey), with the support of the Pudsey Christmas Lights team, and has become a much loved part of the town’s festive calendar.

Cllr Simon Seary said: “The Santa Sleigh Tour is a really special part of Christmas in Pudsey. It is all about bringing a bit of festive magic to local streets and giving families something to enjoy close to home.”

Cllr Dawn Seary added: “None of this would be possible without the volunteers who give up their time to support Pudsey Christmas Lights. It is a real community effort and one we are proud to be part of.”

Each evening will cover a different part of the area:

• Monday, 15 December – Tyersal, starting from The Vine Centre and covering Tyersal Lane, Tyersal Terrace, Tyersal Road and Tyersal Drive

• Tuesday, 16 December – Swinnow and Hough Top, including, Swinnow Lane, Wellstone Avenue and Harley Road

• Wednesday, 17 December – Waterloo, Uppermoor and Chapeltown, taking in Waterloo Road, Occupation Lane, Greentop and surrounding streets

• Thursday, 18 December – Fartown, Littlemoor, Kent Road and Troydale, including Valley Road, Lumb Lane and Kent Road

• Friday, 19 December – Cemetery Road, Lowtown and Robin Lane.

Live location updates will be shared each evening via the Pudsey Christmas Lights Facebook page, allowing residents to see when the sleigh is approaching their area.

Organisers remind residents that routes and timings may vary slightly due to traffic and weather conditions.
