A Pudsey charity which could become homeless in January has confirmed it is ‘in talks’ to find a new base.
Pudsey Wellbeing Charity announced last month that it had been given notice to leave the wellbeing centre in Robin Lane.
The charity has around 17 groups running in the building, which are run by over 40 volunteers.
In a statement issued by its trustees, the charity said: “Following our announcement in July 2025 that Pudsey Wellbeing Charity will be leaving the Robin Lane premises from January 2026, we can confirm that we are in talks with suitable venues for relocation by the end of 2025.
“An announcement giving details of our future plans will be made as soon as these have been finalised. In the meantime, please bear with us as we are working hard to ensure everything continues to run smoothly.
“It is our priority to continue the valuable work we do and we will be offering all our volunteer-led groups from our new venue. We do not yet have all the answers to your questions but please feel free to contact us on hello@pudseywellbeing.com or in-person and we’ll do our best to help.
“We want to assure you that we will continue to provide updates as and when we have them. Thank you for your patience and continued support during this time.”
The initial idea for the charity came from the partners at Robin Lane Health and Wellbeing Centre, who purchased a derelict building on the same site as the medical centre. They wanted to create a space for the Pudsey Wellbeing Charity to run groups and activities for the local community.
The charity has been running since 2013. It aims to end isolation by providing peer support to the residents of Pudsey and surrounding areas.
