Police are appealing for information after a 17-year-old boy was stabbed on a bus in Kirkstall.
Emergency services were called just before 2.50pm on Saturday to reports they youth had suffered injuries to his hands and legs on the number 49 bus. He was taken to hospital but his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

A spokesperson for First Bus said:
“We can confirm that a passenger on our 49 service bus in Leeds was attacked this afternoon and our driver acted swiftly in contacting the emergency services who closed the road.
“This was a serious incident and we will work closely with the Police as part of their investigation, including providing access to our CCTV – which is fitted to all our buses in Leeds.”
A police cordon spanned Broad Lane yesterday, affecting traffic.
