Police appeal after man robbed near Gotts Park

Police are appealingĀ for witnesses following a robbery near Gotts Park in Armley.

Leeds District CID would like to speak to anyone who can assist enquiries into an incident in which a man was robbed near Stanningley Road during the evening of Wednesday, December 11.

The incident took place between 4.10pm and 4.20pm when the victim was approached from behind by two men while walking on a pathway from allotments near Gotts Park, heading towards Stanningley Road.

The suspects grabbed at the victim, jabbed at him with a weapon, and took cash and a bank card from him before fleeing the scene.

They were described as a black male and a white male who was possibly Eastern European.  Both were wearing tracksuits.

The victim received treatment at the scene from paramedics for injuries which were described as not life threatening and did not attend at hospital.
