A large log was placed at the entrance of a badger sett in West Leeds set and on fire, wildlife police have said.
Officers posting on social media yesterday have not provided an exact location to protect the sett, but have appealed for any information connected to the incident.
A Wildlife & Rural Crime spokesperson said:
“Officer have dealt with an incident where a large log has been dragged to the entrance of a badger sett in the LS12 area and then set the on fire. Crime number 13210122099.
“Anyone with any information about this incident or any similar interference with a badger sett please call 101 or Crimestoppers 0800 555 111. As always to protect the sett we will not provide the exact location.”
