Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman had her bag snatched in a robbery in West Leeds.
Officers from the Leeds District Crime Team (DCT) have issued a CCTV still of a suspect as they continue to investigate the robbery which took place outside the Leeds Home Furniture Store on Armley Road on Tuesday, 26 August.
The offence occurred at about 7pm after a hooded male suspect approached the female victim and snatched at her bag.
She held on and was pulled to the floor by the suspect who then ran off with the item, heading towards the Aviary’s area.
He was chased by a member of the public and abandoned the bag, which was found discarded on Aviary Road.
The suspect is believed to have approached the woman from the Armley Town Street area prior to the robbery, and was wearing a hooded top which is believed to have been blue with a white stripe on the arms.
The victim, a woman in her 40s, was left shaken by the incident.
