A colourful new community mural has been unveiled in a Kirkstall garden.
Social enterprise Seagulls Reuse has worked with more then 500 children and eight community groups to create an impressive mosaic in the heart of Kirkstall at the Drink and Be Grateful Fountain.
Kirkstall councillors Lucinda Yeadon, Fiona Venner and Jon Illingworth joined Seagulls staff and volunteers on site to celebrate the hard work and achievement of local residents in creating the thought provoking and inspirational community mosaic.
The project has been funded through Leeds City Council’s Town & District Centre Improvement Scheme.
Volunteers at local group Kirkstall in Bloom tend the flowers and gardens on the site, opposite Kirkstall Leisure Centre.
