Two Pudsey primary schools are to form part of a new academy trust, it’s been confirmed today.
As reported last month, Pudsey Primrose Hill and Pudsey Waterloo Primary Schools have joined the Owlcotes Multi-Academy Trust.
Lesley West, CEO of the trust, said:
“This is a proud day for education in Pudsey and for the pupils, parents and staff of both schools.
“Working together under this new Trust enables us to continue to provide the best learning experiences for the children in our community.
“We are committed to putting our children at the heart of everything we do, whatever their gifts and skills, through an enjoyable, creative and innovative curriculum. The Owlcotes Multi-Academy Trust will provide each school with greater freedom to continue to innovate and to carry on working towards this vision.
“We have consulted widely on the proposals and are delighted with the response we received from our parents and staff. I would like to thank the Governors and teaching staff who have worked tirelessly over the past two years to create this wonderful new opportunity”.”
Owlcotes Multi-Academy Trust aims to:
• develop inclusive schools, sharing a common purpose to provide excellent education and improve outcomes for pupils
• inspire innovation, creativity and aspiration through an enriched curriculum
• ensure effective collaboration, with a strong focus on staff development.
