Over 50s enjoy ‘The Great Outdoors’ as group re-starts after lockdown

An over 50s group in West Leeds has re-started its activities at TCV Hollybush following lockdown.

The Great Outdoors, an over 50s project for the Time to Shine programme, features walking and gardening groups – and welcomes new members.

Project Officer Anne Proud said:

“It’s all about bluebells this month and the Time to Shine Wildlife Walkers have been tracking them down in woodlands across Leeds!

“It’s So lovely to see familiar faces again and to welcome some new ones. Our gardening groups are also up and running at Armley Medical Practice and Fairfield Community Centre. At least the plants appreciate all this rain!”

Anyone over 50 interested in the walking group, or monthly gardening groups in Armley or Bramley, can contact Anne at a.proud@tcv.org.uk for more information.

Courses resume

Hollybush also has a full timetable of courses running between 26 May and 30 July. Many of the courses are already full, but drop the organisers an email if there is a course that you or someone you know would be interested in. If there is not space available, people will be added to the waiting list.
