For 50 weeks of the year Hollybush runs a varied set of environmentally-based activities for adults. Some are targeted at certain groups but most are open to everyone, writes JOHN PRESTON.
Practical projects
Our minibus will take you out to work on sites across West Yorkshire planting trees, mending footpaths or building wildlife areas. Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday meet 9.15, back 4 -4.30pm. Occasional volunteers or regulars most welcome.
Short courses
In woodwork, bushcraft, gardening, natural crafts and practical conservation. Four or five weekly whole or half-day sessions. Courses run every school half-term. Build a garden bench, learn to light a fire without matches, make the most of your own garden or window ledge, have a go at drystone walling there is plenty to choose from. Half-day gardening sessions, Hollybush and from March sites across Leeds.
Wildlife and countryside walks weekly sessions
Voluntary staff who help staff deliver sessions, supporting those less abed and skills, on all of the above activities and the onsite café (Tuesday to Friday 10.30 to 3pm).

Please share and help us reach more people who would benefit from the Hollybush experience. Retired, part time workers, off sick from work, between jobs, been out of work for a while, or got a day or two of leave to spare you will find all of these at Hollybush. The mix is what makes TCV special.
