An opening event will help launch the fully refurbished tennis courts at Victoria Park in Calverley.
The event is on Monday, 11 April, from 5.30pm to 7pm, which will be followed by a five-week coaching programme on Mondays, from 4.30pm to 7.30pm.
The programme is open to all and can be booked online through the Leeds Parks Community Tennis website, where you can also book the courts. A summer camp will also be held at the council-run courts, with details to follow.
The refurbishment in Calverley follows similar work in Westroyd Park, Farsley.
Councillor Andrew Carter (Cons, Calverley & Farsley) said:
“I am delighted we have been able to progress this initiative. We have five courts – three in Calverley, two in Farsley – of a very good standard. I hope young people will take up this opportunity.”
