Leeds bus operators FirstBus have launched an online survey into how they can improve the reliability of the number 42 bus service.
The survey follows public meetings held in Farnley back in June and last week, both of which were well attended by people angry about the lack of punctuality, reliability and gaps in the timetable.
A FirstBus spokesperson said:
“Operators, including First Bus, are working with Leeds City Council and West Yorkshire Combined Authority to tackle congestion and improve bus services.
“As well as new bus investment, including service 42, the partnership is consulting on new road improvements such as at Armley Gyratory to help speed up customer’s bus journeys. Plans are now live here.”
The spokesperson encouraged anyone with ideas on how to improve the service to have their say in the online survey, which runs until the end of November.
The survey can be found here.
The public meetings were organised by Rachel Reeves MP and Cllr Matt Gibson (Lab, Farnley and Wortley).
