Plans to transform the ground floor of the former Factory Outlet showroom in Pudsey into five apartments have been submitted fitted to Leeds City Council.
Dr Haq, of West Park Properties, wants to turn the ground floor of the former showroom on Crawshaw Hill into a mix of one, two and three bedroom apartments.
Planning permission for nine apartments on the first and second floors, plus side and roof extensions, was approved in 2023, despite local concerns including parking.
As part of the 2023 permission, the developer will pay £20,000 towards traffic regulation orders to restrict parking on nearby streets. 14 bike stands are proposed for the development, which is opposite Pudsey Leisure Centre.
The future of the empty site has been the subject of a number of proposals over the years, including plans for a children’s play centre in 2016 and several proposals for residential use.
